What kind of Betta do I have?

Yeah... all my girls get horizontal stripes sometimes. Also, all my girls are dark in colour, but if they're not happy for any reason (often, if they're cold), they'll fade to almost colourless, but striped.

hmm, intersting. Am I going to come home one day with a black female Betta? How strange since ever since I've had her home she's been transparent.


I wonder what's stressing her out. She's in a 1 gallon tank on my coffee table. No other Betta's are where she can see them. She's by a window under a lamp, but the blinds are closed and the lamp stays off most of the day.
