What is your favorite tank size to put bettas in??

I wouldn't put one in less than 8g. seeing horatio (my friend's betta) swimming around and investigating plants I wouldnt have the heart to put him in anyhting smaller.

yeah. im soon getting an eclipse corner 5 for a new betta. the thing is, I want something other than a veiltail, but cant find any.....

I dont like useing large tank and perfer 1 gallon tanks because it is the closest enviromental scene. Bettas live in Chinese rice field puddles....they dont like alot of water.

But hey...im kinda new to Betta world...But i have researched em alot

I have my little guy in a 46 gallon all by himself for cycling... and he's lovin' it! He'll be moving to the 5 gallon soon though... if I have the heart to move him hehe.

David- its not rice field "puddles" its rice field "paddies" and rice field "paddies" are the water where rice grows, which do have a considerable amount of water. like a large pond or small lake. not a puddle. so a bettas natural habitat is in fact much much larger than a puddle!

i'd love to keep all my bettas in a 5.5 gallon, but i dont have enough room for all 5.5's, i have some in a 2.5 gallon and 1 gallon, and a betta in a 5.5

I would only keep a betta in ATLEAST a 3 gallon.
My personaly stand on it is, if your going keep a betta in a bowl, why keep a betta. Dont buy a fish if you cant meet its needs.
I odnthave a 'problem' with people keeping them in small tanks as long as they are filtered
I just hate to see a betta in a bowl no matter what the size.

The majority of mine are in 2.5's....3 of them in 1's, or almost.

I have one in a 45 gallon right now, but will soon be moving into the 90 gallon...BEEEEG betta home.

A few others are in 5's and 6's.
