work... aye.. tell me about it..

btw.. with the media.. i have the white floss, the tubes and the balls.. i have been doing the white floss more frequently, and alternating the others every couple of months.. is that enough or too much? and is alternating the best way?

Every 3 months for mine. ( Pro 2222, Pro II 2026 and Pro III ) I give it all a good clean, pipes as well, rinse the blue pad and re-use and replace the white pads on top, jobs a good 'un.

It really just depends on your stock and stability of tank. Mine isn't heavily stocked and I don't have loads of messy fish. So I just clean my whole filter in one go. Change white pad and rinse balls and donut ceramics and blue sponge pads all in one go. And rinse the mechanical bits (impellor shaft etc.) under luke warm showerhead spray. Change white pad / filter floss more often if you notice particles in the water column.
