What is this?

My tank has been up for 3 days and i put some fish food in to cycle with, just now ive seen white stuff floating around the tank, its like stringy liquidy stuff. Does anyone know what it is?

Update: Just looked around my tank and its coming of the fish food, is this a good thing?

Remove it. Fishless cycling is best done with ammonia.

Im doing it with fish food to. I am looking into getting ammonia but cant find it anywhere. As for white bits mine gets taken by the filter
