Do you have any pimafix?

I always found it best to use double fileration. If you have a 20 gallon tank, get a 40 gallon filter. Crystal clear water.
All pond solutions filter. I'm afraid I can't offer any advice on the filter.

Bad idea to use pimafix or melafix. It works wonders, but not for anabatnoids like gouramis. The Tea Tree oil damages the labyrinth organ, and will eventually deteriorate to the point where they no longer are able to breathe air and will drown.

I was going to suggest half dosing the tank with some pimafix. As you can use pimafix with other medications.

Crossfire is that just the melafix you shouldn't use with the gouramis?
Or both melafix, and pimafix.

I thought it was just melafix you couldn't use. Just done some research and pimafix is not to be used either with corys, betta, gouramis.

Don't bother using the pimafix Tuxyu3

Got it :good: If I were to get an All Pond Solutions filter I think I would get maybe the 2000LPH model or the one below that, i preferably want a UV light unit.

:good:

When do you finish using the full course of the anti internal bacteria medication by interpet?

Sorry for not replying, i was going to do it last night but i had some problems with the site.

The interpet medication is a two dose treatment that finished last wednesday. My Gourami's seemed to improve but were still showing occasional red marks, just not as extreme. I decided i would re-dose on sunday and unfortunately spotted a skeleton of what could only be a danio, i came to the conclusion it was the one who had the marks and was worst affected. Two of the danio's look ok but the third now has an even more exaggerated slope down to his chest from his mouth, could this be a deficiency?
I am due to re-dose the treatment tomorrow, should i continue to finish a second course or leave it? I started the second treatment on the night after a water change by the way.

Not quite sure what the slope down from the mouth to the chest is. Does the area look very sunken in?

I think I would do a water change once the med course has finished. Run some black carbon for 2 days. Then retreat iwith the anit internal bacteria med, but double dose.

Thank you for the update.

Sorry for your loss.
R.I.P.

I will take your advice and do that then.
The chest area does not look very sunken in, i must admit i have never seen it before and still have my suspicions it may be to do with genetics.
Real shame as i was going to get more of them but there is only one shop i know that sells them so don't think i would ever be willing to risk that place again.

If the fish start to act odd with the double dose of anti internal bacteria medication just preform a water change to dilute the medication down. I once used the double dose of anti internal bacteria med and my fish were fine.

Just keep a close eye on the slope area. Curving of the spine.

Good Luck.
