Hi

I was just looking at my tank before and i noticed that in the corner was a dark blue thing. It was impossible to figure out what is was so i completely panicked and decided the best thing to do would be to take it out. However when i tried to scoop it up with the net half of it dissolved of and dissapeared. I would try to take a picture but it just looks like a bit of felt tip pen now

i really need to know what it could have been? and have i made a big mistake by letting half float away?

I added 3 plants yesterday but didn't notice it then.

A complete guess but perhaps it was a pellet of plant fertiliser brought in with the plants? You'd expect that to disintegrate when touched. How big was it originally and what shape was it?

It was preety much round i guess. it was maybe not much under a cm big.

something may of fell in when adding plants or it may of been hidden on a plant if it isn't causing a problem don't worry as you may find it when you clean your filter
