Salt might actually burn his wound. Put salt on an injury when you get injured. Burns like garlic! I lromise you.. never do that... I did that and it burned 10000 times worse than garlic

They use saline in hospitals and doctors surgeries to clean wounds and wash infected eyes. Saline is low dose salt water.

If you think salt burns on open wounds, try 70% alcohol or vinegar. You know your alive when you do that.
