I am looking at having a couple of Anubias Nana as a foreground plant in a low light 13 US Gallon tank. I have read that the rhizome shouldn't be buried....which bit is the rhizome? Are there any good pictures to show an idiot like me which bit is which? Or an idiots guide to aquatic planting?

Nothing should be buried; anubias are meant to attach to rocks or wood or ornaments with fishing like, rubber bands or cotton thread.

As you look at the anubias, you'll see a thick stem in the middle which all the leaves and roots grow off. This is the rhizome.

I thought you could bury the roots in the substrate so long as the rhizome isn't burried...? That was the impression I got from plantgeek.net, anyway.
