What is the dimensions of a...

The hardware forum has a pinned topic that states the most common tank sizes and their dimensions... I usually head over there if I want to get any numbers first, if no info, then I'll just google it... And yea, how'd you know littlefishie was going to reply? :huh:

littlefishie Ive seen that you have had a 15 gallon, and asking what is the dimensions of a 15 gallon thought you would reply.

24"x12"x12" = 56.64 litres, 14.95 gal(US), 12.46 gal(imp/UK), (as littlefishie says)

24" x 15" x 12" = 70.8 litres, 18.69 gal(US), 15.58 gal(imp/UK), (so yours is a little bigger than you though Zenn - good news?)

There can be multiple variations of tanks with the same capacity; so if it involves an expensive purchase of live rock or hardware I would wait untill you actually have the tank beforehand.

Yeah, good news to me, since i only keep four swordtails and two SAE's in my two foot tank, i guess i could add these new babies into the tank once they have grown up enough

*Begins to wonder what his 27 gallon tank capacity would be in the US gallonage?*

I think that most of the guidelines go by US gallons too, such as watts-per-gallon, inches-per-gallon, medication doses, etc, etc...and I remember reading somewhere that US gallons was the forums 'standard'.
