just wondering what the difference is between Pangasius sanitwongsei and Pangasius Catfish
thanks

Pangasius Catfish is just a common name for any Pangasius species, Pangasius sanitwongsei is the scientific name for one specific Pang species that also has the common name of Paroon Shark

Well...they're different species in the same family.Pangasius sanitwongsei is the larger of the two, growing to about 8'. The Pangasius catfish is usually Pangasius hypophthalmus which get to 'only' 4 feet or so, adult sized.
P. hypophthalmus has stripes as a youngster, which would differentiate between the two, but as far as I'm aware, P. sanitwongsei doesn't appear in shops (thank goodness).

what should have asked is what is the difference between Pangasius hypophthalmus and Pangasius sanitwongsei. Just looking at videos on youtube and they both look similair but the Pangasius sanitwongsei paroon shark looks alot bigger.

Hah, we cross-posted, Stephen! See my reply above ;)

a was wondering where thay purchased the Pangasius sanitwongsei. From looking at some the videos on youtube it dosent look like you should have these kept in an aquarium they are that large

No pang species is suitable for aquaria, from what i've seen Paroon sharks are more common in the USA
