I just set up a sand bottom aquarium, and I will be buying new fish for it. I have a few that will be moved over from another tank. (Barbs and Platies)

Anyway.

I will be getting some loaches and a pl*co, maybe catfish. More than likely I will be getting a pair of angels, and a pair of rams. I will also get a small school of fish... either danios or neons/cardinal tetras.

What is the best order to introduce the fish to keep the tank healthy (I don't want all the fish and no bottom feeders, or vice versa.

Thanks

Is the tank cycled?

To answer your question, the danios should be added first - they are vey hardy, neons, cardinals and rams should be added later (6 months for the tetras because they are delicate). THe others can be added in between.

It is best to add a small group of fish every fortnight, to allow the biological filter to keep up.
