i have them in a 10 gallon tank that's been runnning for 4 wks. no other fish are sick at the time. at different times there has been 6 neons that have died. i'm assuming that it is due to high nitrites which have recently come down. ammonia level is normal and PH is 7.6. the average temp is about 26-27 c. or 80 F. try to follow this... i initially had 3 betta tanks, 1 gallon size. each tank had 1 betta, 2 cory catfish and 1 otto. my sister has a tank exactly the same and she's lost no fish. i than learned about cycling the tank after trying to find out why the tetras died, in a 10 gallon i set up 4 wks ago. i felt the tank was pretty much cycled, so i put all but the bettas into the 10 gallon. my intention being to put filters in the small ones, let them cycle, than put them back. after i moved them 1 betta died from ich, the other from velvet. i lost one fish that i removed from the 10 gallon due to velvet or ich, couldn't tell because the fish was white and orange. i removed the dalmation guppy due to the white spot on the fin. that is where the question lies. it isn't ich,it's bigger. also once i get him figured out, i don't know what to treat the 10 gallon with, as it appears everyone is fine. i'm currently treating with bettamax as recomended by lfs, in my attempt for at least one healthy betta.i am aware there may be ich and velvet parasites in there. i told ya i'm confused!!!!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!! I DON'T WANT ANYMORE SICK FISH!!!!!!
