What Is Causing My Fish To Die?

It is a kuhli loach. The first three fish were goldfish, which were removed to the pond once water levels were ideal. first we added the blood fins, then the some platys, garami, more platys, angels last additions were elephant nose and loach. Tank is 55 gallon and the elephant nose seems to be doing well.

my water is testing fine

Just because the fish seem "fine" doesn't mean they're happy or even doing well. I need the numbers of how many fish were there. Kuhli Loaches need to be in groups of +4, or they'll die of loneliness. Angels shouldn't be with gouramis. Blood fin tetras should be in groups of +6. Elephant fish need a minimum of 75 gallons, and need to be in groups of +10, or they'll will get stressed and die. Do you have sand or gravel on the bottom.

Also, a moment of silence for the kuhli loach :shout: :rip:

I have to disagree about the angel fish and gourami, why can't they be tankmates exactly?
Yes. I'd also like to know the reason why these fish can't be kept together, it's been successfully done sooooo many times yet people say that they are still not compatible, but when they are kept in the right conditions they do absolutely fine together

They can become quit nippy to each other, with them both having long flowing fins and whatnot. Also, angels are cichlids. Isn't it generally agreed that cichlids and gouramis don't mix?

It's not like you should keep them together in a 30 gallon tank, but I would say that a tank that big is fine for them

Although that is true, angel fish can be kept with other peaceful fish because of their peaceful nature, Angels can go with most tetras as other cichlids can't.

Water was tested by local fish expert. I will find out exact numbers and post tomorrow
