Cool. Well, not it dieing, just that it didn't kill your tank, and I know it won't kill mine now. One last question - how big do they get?

Depends on the species. The carribean ones have big ears and slender backsides can get 10-12" in the wild, and the common pacific ones with short ears and round backsides get around 8" if memory serves. There are also some dwarf spotted varieties that stay around 2"
