What I Got..

Same routine as if you had GBR's to be honest, good clean water, will feed on flakes/pellets/live/frozen food.

How many did you get?

2nd dorsal ray isn't always a definite indicator of sex, females too can exhibit these 'male' characteristics. Its harder to sex bolivian rams than it is to sex blue rams.

Theres a post on another forum (that I can't link to :< ), so I'll PM it you or something, which should help you determine their gender if they are big enough.

Attempted link

Edit: seems link is working, so click on that and it will bring you to a thread with pictures (click on them to enlarge).

Keith - seems an awful lot of fish for a 60 litre tank, even when you've removed the neons and plec. I foresee a few problems...

The Rams, being cichlids, will get territorial - in a 60 litre with so many other fish this might be a bit difficult for them. Watch out for any signs of stress - darkening of body colour, clamping of fins, listlessness etc

Also, you will need to keep on top of water changes as you have more than double the normal stocking level for a tank that size IMO.

Thanks for the advice anthena, ill try and keep on top of it

Shroob, thanks for the links, but i still dont have a clue!! Ill try and find my card reader and get up some pics.

I like the layout Keith, it looks cool. I'm guessing that tank's a Juwel Rekord 60? I had a pair of BRs in that same tank way back, they ended up both being males. After a few weeks they started to lock lips and generally beat the crap out of each other 24/7, so I had to move one. Every cichlid is different so you may be OK, but probably worth watching them close for a bit.
