heya,

i am an experinced fish keeper for many years in, pond, coldwater, tropical & marine... but this one has stumped me.

I seem to have a dieseae/infection in one tank that has:
Gouramis, plecos, tetra, mollies, clown loach, pakistani loach, guppies.

Now for some reason only my livebearers were dieing with nothing else effected/looking unwell, so i treated with interpet 11 and this seems to have cured it, BUT now i have a 2mm diameter mark on a neon tetra, its not white its a pale green, is this the start of white spot, or a general bite mark? cant get photo tried, and cant fish it out to move it to another tank, scared ill stress the others if it is whitespot and make it worse.

can i run a marine UV on this tank or is it not worth it, ie just dip them?

thanks.

The most common disease I've seen in my neon Tetras is "Saddleback".... (seems like they are very prone to it....- in my experience)... Maybe if you know the disease, it can be eliminated as being that??....

How many gallons is the tank.
What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Is the pale green mark beneath the skin or on top.
Is the pale green mark fluffy looking.
Can't think of a desease that is green on a fish.

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 25
PH - Never tested for it in tropical, but can do, i have a marine one...

its on the top of the fish, is there a gernal tonic i can give?

Is it possible to load a pic onto the site.
The green area does it look like a wound with green fungus growing on it.
