What happened to the 30 gallon long tank?

These used to be a nice size, are they obsolete?

i still see them here and there, were they really popular before?
the most common now are 3 gals, 5 gals, 20 gals, 50, 60, 75, 100, 150 i think
and 40g breeder

I used to see them a lot, I’m going back 30 years ago. I had a couple of them, 36 inches long

were yours 36x15x15 or 36x12x15, I had both in my old fish room the ones that were only 12 deep were fantastic as grow out tanks

12” front to back, 36 long, I forget the height. You can’t find these, I can’t.

I can find a 29 gal but it's the same length as a standard 20 long
