To all,
I have a cycled tank with gouramies,angelfish,zebra danios,scissortail rasboras.
The thing is i would like one more fish.
One that is not a shoaling fish or very small
It should stand out i.e. it should be brightly coloured(red, blue etc.)
It should be compatible with following and shouldn't be too big or which require special diets.
P.s. also it should be active and not hide or sink to the bottom all the time.
Thnx

What size tank do you have and how many of each of the other fish do you have?

I have a 28 gal. with
2 gouramies
3 small angelfish
4 rasboras
3 zebra danios

Do you have plans for another tank at some point? If not, then I wouldn't add anything else as those angels are going to get plenty big. Are the gouramis dwarf gouramis? If so, they should be a good splash of color and if not, they're going to get relatively big too.

Basically, you're looking for a 4" or so sized blue or red fish compatible with angels?.... I'll see what I can find, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head...

I realise that you want more middle dwelling fish, but imo you'd be better going with some bottom dwellers that also move around the tank a bit......How about a group of cories?

I was kinda thinking the same thing, but cories aren't very brightly colored. They sure are fun though and you could get 3 cories in there with no problem...

I'd think clown loaches, but they'd get WAY too big. YoYo loaches are fun and smaller, but don't have the nice colors that the clowns do...

:flex: ♂ How about a Boesenami (hope I spelled that right) Rainbow?
Boesemani rainbows are schooling fish - they need groups of 6 or more in the right combination of males to females or they can get very aggressive.

Did you use the zebra danios for cycling only? Seeing as they really do a lot better in larger groups. I'd advise getting your school of danios up before you're planning on adding any other fish

get a yoyo loach!

mine is the finniest fish! he has certain spots in the tank that are 'his' and guards them well, because they are spread all over the tank he is always on partol up and down trhe tank checking for invaders in any of his spots. He also loves to dig and you think he is crushed under a rock or something, but no, he just dig his way in, tail first so his head has a sneaky view of the rest of the tank.

highly reccomended and fun fish!

I was planning to get dwarf gouramies baqcause of their colour but was wondering their compatibility with 3 spot gouramies that i aldready have.
I would like a middle to top dwelling fish which is active, colurful and compatible with my fish.

I don't think you should get any more middle or top dwelling fish :/ I think you've got plenty there, especially as your angels and gouramies get bigger....
