What Fish Should I Add In My Tank

How many sevs? I have kept all sorts with one sev, didn't quite work out with angel fish though! But kept fine with rosy and Odessa barbs, rainbows lyretails, silver sharks, dwarf and pear gourami and large neons!! Had the little ones for lunch!!

Thanks for repley i have to severums, but the other severum is bullying the other one nipping its fins and bashing it around tank dont no why cus they were fine together when brought them, i also have 2 plecs a large sailfin one and a small plec
tank is 4foot 300litre

Hmmm you might have 2 male severums perhaps? as they matured, one has become dominant and see's the whole tank as his territory.

You could try breaking up lines of sight with plants/wood etc. see if that helps, but probably best to swap out the second severum.

As for the 2 plecs, these lads get big, and sometimes boistrous in their own right.

Perhaps a female severum, to replace the bullied male, and some dither fish to liven things up.

THERE MY SEVE'S

ive got plants and a big piece of bogwood or wot ever u call it lol. my plec is 10inch's and other one is a baby im just getting sick of replaceing fish i ive spent 250 or more on fish and aint had 2 much look,

Is the bottom one the dominant one?

I think they are both males (based on the finage) but the lack of facial markings on the upper one does make me question this...

But needless to say, if one is being picked on, somethign needs to be done!

Do you have a spare tank? you could temporarily remove the dominant bully, rearrange the tank decor, add some more fake plants/wood etc whatever, to break up line of sight, then reintroduce him after a few days, might see them settle.

Nice Sevs!

I dont think re-arranging the tank will make much difference seeing as there is just the two of them, it is worth a try.

I would think either a potential partner for the Sev or possibly other cichlids and/or dithers.

Although, it is much easier to pair cichlids from a juvenile stage rather then when matured.

Hiya yeah the bottem one is the bully one i dont have a spare tank but i have a big plastic box i use when i clean the tank out, also have a spare heater, they are i fell in love with them at the petshop. ill try that and see if it works because i carnt leave it in there 2 get killed

ive got 2 plecs aswell i was gonna buy some more fish next week to see if it helped just dont want fish getting killed

What is the other little cichlid you have too?

As long as the fish you choose arent aggressive, they sould be fine (would steer clear of nervous species though)

Hiya i dont have anythink else, i did have parrot fish but i sold them cus i get told i couldnt have much with them, all i have is the 2 seve's and 2 plecs, i just separated the seves and added more stuff into tank hopefully it helps:)
