What fish is this

When I bought them the guy at the fish shop did say what they was but I forgot and he also said they would grow to be over a foot long in size

Could you contact the store and ask what they sold it as?

I haven't heard that common name applied to any of the sailfin plecos. This certainly isn't Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, Pterygoplichthys pardalis or any of the plecos sold as sailfins that I've seen. It certainly looks like Hypancistrus to me
