What Fish Have You Eaten?

I doubt my ability to successfully raise Barramundi to the point of being eaten, but you can buy them at most of the local pet stores - from baby fingerings to nearly legal size adults. I doubt they'd taste great though.
I'm based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, though I'm originally from Rockhampton, QLD and have lived further north where we used to catch Wild Barra all the time and fry em up.

Ah in your previous post I thought you meant you bought them at the pet shop and then promptly ate them.
Lovely part of the world you are in, I caught fish when in Tasmania, and then we ate them. Can't quite recall what they were now, skinny little things but with a good taste. I let my mate do all the gory stuff though. I cannot eat a fish with a head on it, I used to ask them to remove the head or I would cover it with a serviette! Bit of a wimp, it is like prawns, I cannot eat anything that is looking
at me.

No, I've done some stupid things in my life, but I'd never, ever trust my cooking.
Yea Australia's a marvelous country - so much diversity - where I am is infinitely different from Tasmania but equally beautiful. I unfortunately spend very little time in the country.
Hahaha, that's a weird rule. Most of where I've been throughout Asia, the fish eyes are a delicacy, and they're not bad tasting

Like it here in the UK too though, both have their blessings and failings. Right now I have a houseful of aquariums here and a rescue >^..^< that wants feeding AGAIN! So grateful that fish do not constantly meow for food and attention, have you ever eaten a cat, actually don't answer that
