Wow! A bazillion tadpoles! That's going to be an interesting night when the frogs emerge I noticed too that the water was like a greeny-blue colour...is that the true colour of the water or just how it came out in the photo?A few recent pics in this post --> https://www.fishforums.net/threads/frog-paradise.488776/
It's a water dye to try and control algae growth.Wow! A bazillion tadpoles! That's going to be an interesting night when the frogs emerge I noticed too that the water was like a greeny-blue colour...is that the true colour of the water or just how it came out in the photo?
Ohhhhhhh.....does it work? It's a water dye to try and control algae growth.
So far, there's some algae towards the top. The tadpoles have been eating it up. I can definitely see more algae growth where plants don't cover it from the sun. Might have to add some more dye soon. I haven't added any back since I've done water changes, when I first put it in it was way dark couldn't see into the water.Ohhhhhhh.....does it work?
Hello. I've checked the pricing on a pond filter and the $100.00 plus for a basic filter seems a bit high to me. Plus the labor and replacment media to maintain it. There's a lot of material that falls into my tank from the surrounding Locust trees and whatever gets blown into the tank on a windy day. I believe I'll just continue to skim the tank surface regularly to remove the debris and replace most of the water weekly.Pond filters have been around for a long time, and work very well…
