I was at the pet store superstore and I saw on a couple of tanks, goldfish were feeding on what looked like oranges. But I may be mistaken, they might have been lemons. Anyway, my question is. What fish can eat oranges or lemons? I suppose it's rich in vitamin C, and fish need that for what? Colour?

I've seen that done before too....orange slices in goldfish tanks. My guess is yes they are trying to supplement their diets.

I've heard of people feeding oranges to koi, however, the problem with such fruits though is that they are very sugary and acidic and can easily mess up your water quality.
Personally i avoid stuff like oranges as i'm sceptical as to how well fish like koi and goldfish can deal with all the fruity sugars in their system, because as far as i know they don't get this high level of sugar anywhere in their natural diets so probably havn't evolved to handle lots of sugar that great in the long term so could get problems like diabete's in later life.
