What Fish Are You ?

I was reading on Planet Catfish, about one of the vampire pleco’s that has a taste for snails… if I remember right, they only grow to between 4 and 6 inches… I would imagine they would kill off the pond snails faster than a handful of assassin snails

My first thought was a Black Piranha, or, preferably, a White Piranha, which is a Black Piranha with youth on its side. But I think they only ‘socialise’ once or twice a year, so maybe an Electric Eel. Socialise at meal times (hunt in packs) then do my own thing and nobody bothers me.

How about an Asian arowana (Scleropages formosus). This species is native to Southeast Asia and is known for its vibrant colors and unique appearance.

Ah, but then we get into the Q anon crazy world, because all Asian arowana sold legally in NA are.......chipped.

Yikes! Tell me more. I’m not familiar with this Q anon story. Chipped as in a surveillance chip?

They're endangered in the wild, so if you buy one, it should be chipped so customs can tell it's farm bred. A wild, unchipped one is illegal to sell under CITES.

But for Q Anon, they are fish of the deep state being weaponized to eat the real birds that are being replaced by electronic surveillance birds. I made that up, but someone has to make up conspiracy theories or those people would feel unimportant.

I think it's time to revive this thread, boys and girls. It's been a year. If you had to reincarnate as an aquarium fish, what would you be?

Personally, I'm in a sparkling gourami state of mind these days: I enjoy building stuff, lurking in the bushes, and exploring. I don't mind having others around but I definitely need my personal space. I am known to make sounds of a musical variety at random and sometimes inappropriate moments. And it might be easy for people to overlook me because they have no idea who they're dealing with.
