The first one is a peppered corydora, do you have more than one of these? They're a very social species, so he really needs a group of at least five other peppered cories :)

The second one I'm not sure, some kind of barb or tetra, @WhistlingBadger will know I'm sure :)

Thank you and I have four ?
Good to hear! They're a nice little cory, really beautiful when they're a good group and they colour up well, that metallic sheen on their cheeks is lovely :)

@mbsqw1d , please share one of the vids of your cories! They're the prettiest group of peppered cories I've seen, maybe @Hayden9261 would enjoy seeing them too :D

I was gifted the tank but after doing some research I may have to reduce the amount of fish as I’m over the limit of amount of fish do you think this is best?

I would try to re-home the tetras very soon. If you checked the link @AdoraBelle Dearheart posted in #9 you will note this fish attains five inches (12.5 cm) and given it needs a group this is way beyond the capacity of the aquarium. And it is a very active species, meaning lots of physical space (tank length primarily).

The cories can be increased if you keep that fish, it needs a group as it too is a shoaling species.

I need to try and get a good vid of the cories, probably better at feeding time. Ive no idea how many I have and would be nice to know!

Easiest way, is take the plants out and plant into the substrate :)

you may want something a bit better than just gravel though. or at least get some root tabs in with them

Most of us take the plants out of the baskets and plant the root mass in the substrate. There is nothing wrong with leaving them, but you can bury them so they are not so noticeable. I sometimes leave the plant in the basket until I am fairly certain where I want the plant, then remove it from the basket.
