What Fish Are These:

I know you love your plec, but do you love him enough to get him a 4 x 2 x 2ft (minimum) tank as he grows to 18-24" in the next year or two? ;)

Might be worth returning him and swapping him for a bristlenose, suitable for your tank size and spotty too (just the opposite colours - ie brown with beige spots). Your gibby will outgrow that tank very quickly, once he hits 10" or so he'll slow down, but even smaller specimens (15" in my experience) need a 2ft wide tank to be able to turn around.

Wow not sure what your fish are but there lovely. As for removing the fry, well you seem to have a lovely planted tank with lots of hiding spots and they seem to be doing fine in there. Id be inclined to leave them there or if you want for a few more weeks put them in a breeders net until they grow big enough to be not eaten in maint ank. Pets at home sell breder nets for £2.40. Nice plec, they grow big and fast though. Wish pets at home here would get more dwarf plecs in. Ive been waiting weeks for a bristlenose plec from them.

I just bought some breeding tank for them whick sticks to the inside of the tank. And there was actually 6 babies!!! But after capturing them all, one of them has died so only 5 left now.
