What equipment do i need for a betta

Heater depends on tempreture where you live...
Water conditioner...
Betta food...
Mini gravel vac...
Plants are nice too...

No plastic plants. Just live or silk, as plastic will rip fins!

A "cave" of some sort to hide out in--a small pot turned on its side works well.

If i did need a heater what kind would be good for the eclipse explorer?

How would you cycle a betta tank

another thing to add about the cave...if you do use a pot turned over try and cover the hole with some mesh (if there is a hole) sometimes they try to go through the hole and get caught...

That happened to my favorite little VT guy a while back when I was out of town for the weekend. I was so sad to come back and find him dead like that

if you're going to get a heater for a 2 gallon, i would go with a 25w or small heater. if your house/room stays pretty warm during the day AND night (very important since my bf's betta died from an unplugged heater ) then you can go without.
