What Else Can I Add

Ok after having my Cories being the sole occupants in the tank, I decided to get some upper level dwellers. So I got a male Dwarf Blue Gourami, I wanted to get a female to go with the male, but he didnt have any. So what else can I add that will get along with him and look good? The LFS had some German Blues, I dont know anything about them, can I add them? They also had some Painted Glass fish that were schooling nicely and were very active. That I thought would liven up the tank abit. Saw some Colombia Red/Blue Tetras, pretty and a decent size.

So many choices, not enough gallons in the tank. Please suggest.

What size is the tank?

The ram will live on the bottom of the tank with the corys and may not get on with your gourami.

Also dont buy the painted glass fish, the practice of dying fish is very cruel to the fish, and they will only live a few weeks due to the stress of the process. dyed fish i would have words with your LFS and see why they stock them?

I would stock some small tetras like neons or glo lights

Like punk06 mentioned, I would get a nice school of fish going and have your gouramis as somewhat your centerpiece fish.

I like having the Gourami as the centerpiece, I wished I had a female to go with him. Maybe I'll check out another LFS for a female.

The Painted Glass fish arent dyed, they are clear, almost see thru, but have a bright silver to there heads, there must have been 20-30 in a nice school, going all over the tank.
