Im starting to get dozens of flatworms appear on my front and side glass panels and I want to get rid of them before their numbers multiply. So what methods do others use? Chemical? Predators? etc etc

Thanks

never had them but i hear salfert flatworm exit works well, as for if its safe with inverts and corals you would have to look into, it is very strong and was stopped being imported to uk for a while but apparently its readily available again

i also had and have tons of flatworms. my lfs told me that scooter blennies would eat them so i got one and he has been doing very well. :good:

Best bet would be a smaller flasher or fairy wrasse
Then, smaller psuedochromis eat them too, but they can get aggressive as they age
And lastly, Scooter blennies and Mandarins eat them too, but those can be difficult to get to feed after the tank is empty of flatworms

My refugium is covered in flatworms, but my display tank with wrasses is flatworm free :)

Thanks for that guys. I dont suppose any inverts eat them do they? I'm thinking about getting a scooter blenny when my tanks a bit more mature so might wait till then to get rid of them!

Also you could try a Rainfords goby. Mine spends the whole time picking at every surface. I occasionally see a flatworm but they never get bigger than 1mm.
