What Do You Use To Heat Your Betta Tanks

in my glass tanks i have heaters but don't know what to use in my plastics tanks, are there certain heaters for plastic tanks or can you just use normal heaters

I just use a 25w visitherm heater in my plastic tank, its fine in it. Didnt know there was a specific type of heater needed for plastic tanks.

Normal heaters are fine as acrylic is another word for plastic.

They come on brackets anyway and so stand well away from the tank side.....

Yes, I've heated acrylic tanks with normal heaters before with no problem

I have quite a large heater, its only an 8gal tank but the 25w heater that came with it was broken and when i took it back to the store all they could offer me was a 100w heater which keeps the water at a constant 30 deg (on its lowest setting)

My betta seems to love it though, so i guess its okay. They like slightly warmer water anyway dont they.

What are these heat mats? My 1 gal acrylic tanks are too shallow for heaters and I have been trying to find something to keep them warm this winter.

I like my room at 70 F, so that what the tanks are at too.
