Evertime i come on here i see someone saying "couldnt resist another one" lol! Lucky you! :D So i was wondering do you buy a new tank like a 2 gal or do you use other things like vases etc?
Im amazed and so jealous at how many people have so many bettas!

A wonderful, cheap option is critter keepes. They're very cheap (I got a 3+ gallon for 10 bucks) and you can pop out the plastic mesh in some places to make room for wires, etc for heaters. They come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, (they are acrylic.. So they scratch) but they're totally worth it and I love them.
You can even be real cheap and use rubber maid or tupper ware that's over a gallon to keep a betta in. Not the prettiest thing.... But it works. :)

well all i did was move my females into the community which freed up the 2.5 which Blaze was in, but i have a female in a 1.5 gal bowl which i use for my guppy fry :good:

if you have any around you hit goodwill, salvation army stores, or yard sales. sometimes you can find tanks or fish bowls for super cheap. just remember that their used so wash them good. or something i just tryed and it works great is the walmarts around here sell monster sized olive and pickle jars that when empty hold very close to a gallon or half gallon of water depends on big of one you get. they cost about $9 US here. i love them totally going to use more of them. all the olives or pickles i can eat plus a betta jar how cool is that. i put some rocks and a small plant in there and there still plenty of swimming room. just make sure you wash it good.

I agree...the Kritter Keepers are good

If I were to get more, I would get each betta a 2.5 gal mini bow like the one Alfie is in. Yea, theyre over $30, but it's worth it to me

No, I would never breed bettas or have more than 3...so no one needs to jump in with that not being practical and all that lol

All I know is that around me Hobby Lobby is having all the decorative glassware 50% off, and they are plenty big enough for bettas! Hit up some craft shops!

I love critter keepers...and I can stack one of the 99pence see through plastic containers on top, and 99p for a lid which hubby drills holes in....dont look that fab but the fish make little bubble nests in them so...

Anything that holds water will do, if it's big enough. I like plastic storage containers, cheap and varied.

Mine is a bit pampered - he lives in a fully filtered, fully heated, fully lit 6.6 gallon Mirabellow, that I'm just decorating at the minute to look like a Nano-paddyfield or something. :good:

I keep my eye out for really cheap (or free) used 10 gallons and divide them and use critter keepers for a few of my bettas. I also have about 10 empty critter keepers that I keep on hand (just in case!)

The standard 2.5g tanks with nano filter and light. It's not too small and it's not too big. It's just right for one betta. Or 10 red cherry shrimp.

I have 2 males, a crown tail (gold body, blue to red tail) and a dark blue veil tail. The VT was in the community tank (40 gals) but the school of 5 rainbow tetras started nipping him, so i got matching 5 gallon filtered, 6-sided acrylic aquariums. I decorated them with crab decor and added 2 dwarf frogs to each. They now bookend my large tank. (btw, my large 40g has 5 pristillas, 5 rainbow tetras, 5 cherry shrimp, 2 ghost shrimp, 2 spotted corys and a plecostimus).

I have included a picture of the tanks before they got moved into their final spots, and one of them flaring at each other.
