its a 566 us gallon tank which is 9ftx3ftx32inches

and it has a 200 us gallon sump so 766 us gallons in total

also im going with a 8000lph pump so 4x turnover

heres what ime gonna keep i think this is ok do you think it will be over stocked if not any other suggestions

1 x tiger oscar
1 x gibbi plecs
1 x spotted sev
10 x silver dollars
1 x lima shoval nose
1 x sun catfish
1 x silver arowna (illl get one when all the other fish are grown up)
1 x giant gourami
1 x fire eel

It sounds pretty good. Only thing would be the giant gourami just dose not seem to fit in IMO. I would leave hi
out and add another large nw cichlid.

as in fit in the tank if so then im sure it is

if you mean with the theme then i love them so i really want one

Nah Giant Gouramis fit in well with Oscars etc...massive fish with a personality to easily rival a Oscar...they are more cichlid like than your normal Gourami and don't have the labyrith organ and lay eggs like cichlids.

I personally on top of that list would add a large cichlid also.

A Jag or red bay snook or something large and pretty...the tank so big and active that i doubt they would bother the other fish.

i dont know about the red snook but the jags are insane nasty *****

They can be if in smaller tanks...ie: if you put one in a 4ft tank with soemthing...of course it will kill it.

In my local maiden head they have a 8ftx8ftx2ft tank....inside they have...

pair of Jags (full grown)
2 black and white sting rays (about the size of a car hubcap)
3ft+ Arowana
gar (about 20")
8 Severums of varied colour (all fully grown)
6 Tiger Oscars (all fully grown)
3ft Red Tail catfish
2.5ft Tiger Shovelenose
20+ large red hook Silver Dollars (all around 8")
4 Gibbi plecs
1 Geophagus Brasiliensis (full grown)
a few jack Dempseys (fully grown)

They have had these guys in this tank for years and the Jags don't bother anything.

wow thats a huge tank

so do you reckon this then

1 x tiger oscar
1 x gibbi plecs
1 x spotted sev
10 x silver dollars
1 x lima shoval nose
1 x sun catfish
1 x silver arowna (illl get one when all the other fish are grown up)
1 x giant gourami
1 x fire eel
1 x jag cciclid

Yeh i would do it...some wouldn't...its a risk, but not a expensive risk if you seperate if you need to...imo it would work fine.

red Bay Snooks are very nice looking as a alternative.

Another fish to look at is a Vieja Argentea...i have one and its gawjus.

wow i like the Vieja Argentea more than the jags

so could i have instead

1 x tiger oscar
1 x gibbi plecs
1 x spotted sev
10 x silver dollars
1 x lima shoval nose
1 x sun catfish
1 x silver arowna (illl get one when all the other fish are grown up)
1 x giant gourami
1 x fire eel
1 x Vieja Argentea

Well if you must have the Giant then I understand. Are you going to buy babies? Or are you going to get your fish as rescues? I would try and rescue some big fish. I know we had a cool fish store that would take in fish that got too big for others to keep and they always had such a hard time getting new homes. I see a good amount of Pacu fish that need homes.

im gonna try to do rescues
