Hey

Just wondering if anyone specializes in one type of fish?

thanks

I am more of a cichlid guy, and have some luck mixing the africans and american cichlids :hey:

nice. i am not sure what kind species i prefer. i kinda like all of like the community type fish

i specialise in plants if you didnt know

as for fish i keep community and africans although i am not very knowledgable on any fish specie - just enough to know how to keep them happy ;)

that tends to be the case with alot of people! i think there is so much to learn about all of the species that are out there it just becomes impossible to know all of it!

I've always been partial to anabantoids. They are the only ones that I have any interest in breeding. Specifically, paradise fish and trichogaster species are my favorite.

discus,

but also cichlids generally, corys working on rays.

I love Cyprinids but am only just setting up a tank. Have a few family community tanks. :D We are jusy about to start breeding guppies :D

As i work in a LFS i try to learn a little about every species, but like nelly my main interests lie in New World Cichlids, as well as catfish, (including plecs) and oddballs

Once I discovered that there are so many kinds of interesting corydoras, I was enchanted by them. While I still have a few other kinds of fish, cory cats are by far my favorite. :D

I'm also in the same situation. I like to research every fish that is ordered into the shop before I sell them, so I have basic knowledge in quite a few fish.
I love Cichlids and Plecs but I'd prefer to have a good few years of fishkeeping behind me before I could confidently say that I "specialise" in any area.
