what do YOU recommend?!?!?!

As big as you can afford and have room for.

Very good advice-- I am currently outgrowing all three of my tanks at the same time :(

But the good thing is: I can play "musical aquariums" and just purchase the largest one I need :D

Get the biggest tank you can afford and accomedate!!!! :D You should put a mixture of livebearers, rasporas, danios, and tetras in it. You should also do some cories and some otos to eat algae. Decorate with lots of rocks, caves, plants, and decorations!!! Good luck! :D

i would get a tank that you feel you can maintain with a degree or egularity based on your lifestyle. what i mean is if oyu get say a 100 gallon tank it would require a great deal of daily effort to maintain it properly and if you have a demanding job of lifestyle this may be detremental to your fish and discourage you to keep them. now as far as fish to keep i like the headlight tailights, red eye tetras, and neons. as far as algae eaters some may diagree but i have four feather fin cats in my 45 gallon setup and they keep the tank spotless on the bottom. i also keep 5 feeder crayfish and they also scavenge very well. im also a big fan of plecos. i have 2 clown plecos that are very active and do a great job of cleaning up. just keep in mind the tank is only the house, its the lights heater pump/filter that make the house a home :D
