I've been debating on changing what I feed my blood parrots and convicts, I feed a cichlid pellet along with lots of frozen foods, such as blood worms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, blood worms and a frozen omnivorous mix. What are your thoughts?

Feed them edible stuff. I really don't think most cichlids are picky. They definitely love the live and frozen stuff though. Try finding them some mosquito larvae.

Mine are really picky! They'll only eat Tetra Cichlid Sticks, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworm (and live bloodworm) and live daphnia. Not that much when you consider the options out there. I've tried just about everything: sticking with tetra prime, other Cichlid pellets, other frozen foods, peas, every day for a week, every other day etc. but they just starve themselves. It's frustrating seeing a fish watch food float past it! I've given up now. They eat what they eat. Fussy fish, who'd have thought it?

If feeding live food don't feed them meal worms. Earth worms are a good choice from any fishing tackle shop of you can buy them online.

That's funny that yours are picky, mine will eat anything I throw in there. I do feed peas too and they're not too crazy about them but they will eat them.

Everyone tells me theirs "eat anything". I use to stress about it - thought they'd not get a proper balanced diet etc.
I don't worry about it now. They eat, they grow & seem healthy. (Secretly it still bugs me, just a little).

My oscar once ate the peas meant for my pleco. He somehow managed to get them all in his mouth, but I thought he would choke to death. I have never had a problem feeding a cichlid
