What Do Tou All Think Of My Tank?

The Tank is great! But with the other people i think the substrate is too bright for my liking, Im more of a natural guy.

Its only for the mean time as I'm geting a fluval roma 125 in 2weeks which I have some argos play sand ready to go in it, am just leaving that tank as it is for no to grow the weeping moss, and that gravel will be going straight in the bin so don't worry about that lol

i think it looks good. you are on the right track. once that moss gets going, itll look ace.

the gravel isnt that bad, ive seen tanks alot worse! lol

sometimes the "natural" look is preached like its the "only" look. i think it has its time and place.

I thought it went to bad for my first time, have picked a lot of good advise over last few weeks and will be using it all when I sent up the 125. I was goin to get black sand at first but couldn't turn down a free bag of play sand lol. Hopefully get the moss growing good then I can add some of it to the 2 big bits off bogwood iv got on order for the new tanl

Didnt we all start with bright gravel and sunken ornaments ? I sure did and i liked it :D

If you like it that is the main thing, i think its good and as you say you have plans for a new tank with a different style. :good:

Yea I liked it, then I came on this site and thought tha sand and planted tanks looked so much beter, so was told I can have the bigger tank, so am going to try my hand it light plants , sand. And am going to get to bolivian rams to go in there aswell

i have changed my tank slightly no, have moved the wood and added some moss, is it looking a lil bit beter so far?
Definitely better, but I would leave the plastic plant still in there to provide cover for the fish and add some more live plants.

White.. keep the layout how 'YOU' like it... its only your opinion that really counts, and only you that will sit for hours watching it. A few rude comments on here if you ask me.

Regarding Sand, I swear by it, and it is easy to maintain. You just need to give it a good stir once a week, to stop it from compacting and going 'black' as a result. Playsand is ok and can be bought from B&Q etc... needs a good rinse in a bucket before you use it though. If you want the best - then go for 'swimming pool filter sand'... it is more expensive but better quality and doesn't leave 'heavy dust clouds' every time you clean the aquarium.

Hope this helps.
