I was just wondering - are there any stand out pellet foods for SA dwarfs? I feed a certain amount of frozen bloodworm etc. but I've seen hundreds of branded cichlid pellets - which ones are the best?

I personally have used nothing but Hikari as my primary fish brand. They have specialized Cichlid food that is reasonably priced in my opinion and has great results.

Here is a link to it http://www.hikari.info/tropical/index.html#c3

My wild caught Blue German's won't accept any flake foods. So instead I feed them on frozen brine shrimp.

James.

Hikari Micro Wafers, Ocean Nutrition spirulina flakes, cichlid frozen mix, bloodworm etc. I find they aren't fussy.

I use brine shrimp, bottom feeder pellets, and cichlid pellets. I don't care much about brand, but avoid the cheap stuff

Every day I feed;
1 frozen cube of Bloodworm / Brine Shrimp / Cichlid mix (on rotation)
A couple of pinches of Flake food
2 Tetra Tabimin pellets (Veggie wafers)
8 Tetra Variety pellets (for bottom dwellers)
They must all like it - they start circling in front of the tank a couple of hours early ! :rolleyes:
