Hi, I just got a red and blue male betta fish on Saturday and the aquarium said to feed them granules so I brought them but when I feed him he either stares at them and ignores them, chase them but not eat them or eats them then spits them out. Well I feed him one night and one landed on his rocks and in the morning it was gone I don't know if he'd eaten it or knocked it off but one little granuel is not enough so do bettas not like them or help!

What brand are the granules you're feeding him? Do they say that they're for bettas on them? My betta did that at first too, but then he figured out how to eat what I was feeding him. I decided that he probably ate flakes all his life, and didn't know how to eat the pellets I was giving him. He figured out how to eat them eventually.

Sounds like he's just not used to pellets.
I'm thinking maybe very high high protien flake food could possibly be used until he learns to accept proper pellets?

I like to use Hikari betta food with a couple of blood worms each week or some mosquito larvae.

If you have a nice high protein tropical fish flake food, use it. My guess is that is what he is accustomed to eating so will treat it as food.
