What do I do?

Are you sure the babies are all gone? they are very tiny and sometimes difficult to see

I think you need to take a breather here and look again at all the breeding information and click on some of the links on the betta basics which has lots of information on betta spawns. Putting the female in again now will only exhaust both of your bettas and they will hardly be in good condition to spawn again.

In answer to some of your questions though I have no idea what happened to the fry, perhaps he moved them to the new bubblenest? If he did eat them then maybe they weren't quite right as I know I saw my male eat a couple :-( Dad is usually removed when the fry start to swim horizontally and look like this _ which is generally 2 days after hatching. Its generally best to put the spawning tank at 80 degrees as baby fish always need warmer water

They will need at least 2 weeks conditioning of live/frozen foods at least twice a day before you can try again :/

If in doubt, I leave the tank for a week after pulling the dad, because they hide so good, I've found some after this long when I never saw one any days before. Be patient, be patient, be patient. Trick to being successful.

yea raise the temp. my first spawn lost about half of the fry because the temp was too low. get it up to 80 or around there at least.

also, i would suggest reading up some more on the breeding. if you got the new male he would have to be conditioned for 2 weeks because the pet stores dont feed them live foods. also your other females must be conditioned before breeding. i wouldnt breed the first female for about another 4 weeks though.

Thanks guys for your replys. Maybe I'll take the male out and put him in the tank with the harliquins, and leave it for another few days so see if there are any babies......
Thanks for helping me everyone! :)
