I was turning all the lights out last night and last i did the fish tank, when it went off i heard a loud noise coming from the tank like if someone was moveing gravel up against the glass...so i turned the room light on and all the fish started rising up from the bottom of the tank. Does anyone know what they do??? :dunno:

Fish are most active at night apparently, particualy plecs and corys- best time to catch them in action is about 30mins after tank lights have been turned off, this is also the best time to catch out any agressive fish in your tank in the act of bullying other fish too.

Where do you think little fish come from. :D

It really depends on what kind you have. Most simply rest/relax but corys and other nocturnals go on the prowl. Just look at what corys do when the lights are on and you will probably see what others do when the lights are off.

my other guppys get chased by Dory, she's twice the size of them you see

They gey into mischeif thats when the tank comes 2 life they chase each other and if you have any small ones they get eaten :rip: awww,

Mine sit down somewhere and chill, sometimes I forget to turn the lights on and come home midday and there laying about like 2:00 in in the afternoon

when the lights go out on my tank, and I mean this is when it is nice and dark. They all just go to the bottom of the tank and I am assuming go to sleep since they stay quite still.

I have actually observed them. :nerd:

But the second I do something, like turn on the light, make large movements they all suddenly perk up and start swimming around.

So, when it's lights out mine sleep.
