I noticed this yesterday on my 250l. What could cause it? All readings are normal and everything else is fine

what fish are in the tank?
do you add any chemicals/ fertilisers to the tank?

Your filter caused all those bubbles. Completely safe, though annoying.

It doesn’t look like a bubble nest to me, it’s to tall.

I agree it looks like it was likely caused by your filter.

Just have to ask, what plant is that floating on the surface? It is lovely

If there's no labyrinth fishes in the tank, then it's just foam bubbles from the filter and possibly the fertiliser. Scoop it out if you don't like it.

I dose with excel as per the instructions
Be careful with Excel. Like most liquid CO2 products, the active ingredient is glutaraldehyde, a powerful disinfectant (It's also used to sterilise heat sensitive medical equipment and in embalming fluid, amongst other things). A tiny overdose can kill plants so goodness knows what damage it does to fish.
