What color Swordtails do you have?

Nice pics! I'm confused, though...How do you tell a swordtail from a platy?

I have 1 male who is a red wag....he is so curious and a little devil!....he likes to wait until the snail come out of their shells and then he swims really fast towards them to scare them and then they close up....he repeats himself and it is really funny to watch poor snail!

I also have 2 pineapple females...one of which is pregnant and i am really looking forward to having swortail fry because i have only ever had guppy fry before!.....It should be really interesting to see the little guys when they are born ....the mother is very quiet and i hope the babies will be too!....some swordtails can be so hyper!

Kittycat - generally the swords are bigger and longer through the body, while the platys have a shorter rounder body. Also the male of course has a sword tail. They are very closely related (and can interbreed) so it can be difficult some times.

And I just picked up 2 more this afternoon. A red neon lyretail female and a black lyretail female!

My male is orange with a little bit of black through his tail. 2 of my females are bright orange and my other one is yellow. I'd really lvoe to get a few green ones though...

Dont know if this is right, but also Platys tend to have a moon like circle on thir tail. Swords dont..

Still love my koi's best. =) Although I did see a gorgeous black sword at a LFS last week but couldn't bring myself to get him cause I had no place to put him. Afraid he'd get into a fight with my 3 existing koi males.

Sorry not that great of a pic. Need to go and try to take a few better ones...

Need to find a coupla good females though. Only have 2 currently.

Those are so gorgeous. One of the LFS has some of them but they've been labled not for sale for at least a month now. When I went in yesterday they were gone and I was really disappointed.
