I was looking at doing a moon lighting effect in my tank using the small L.E.D. lights. I wanted to do a mixture of 2 blue lights and 1 green light.

This was a random question but will diffrent color L.E.D. stress or calm my fish down?

And if it will could u give me a list of color and effects they have on the fish?

thanks.......

Dont get to addicted to your fish............ur dog, cat, or bird will hate you -_-

I don't think the actual colour makes a difference. Obviously a pale blue light will mimick moonlight therefore should be the most calming if any do.

I have blue coldcathode lighting for night-time and UV cold cathode lighting for watching the plecs.

Have a look at this post which was quite informative on cheap lighting effects:

I seriously wonder how many colours fish are capable of seeing. Do they see colours like humans? Or just black and white? Or only a few colours?

P.T.

A start is to think which colours of the spectrum water absorbs?? I'm not sure but if there are any that dont do well in water then fish may be less sensitive to them.
