Hi, i originally bought this tank when i didnt no better to be honest! i have now upgraded to a 30 gallon which i keep coldwater species in.

I now have this tank as a spare. Im trying to sell it on ebay but i doubt its gunna go for what i paid for it so in that case i wont be selling.

http://www.tropiquarium-bonn.de/images/sup...-set-silber.jpg this is the tank. An aqua 40.

It has a nice light and filter is supplied. (the purchase of a heater is no problem)

Any ideas about wht i could keep in here????

thanks.

nice little tanks those, i'd keep it

i'd either have a betta in there, or some microrasbora galaxy.... i really want some but we've nowhere for them to go and Ian says we can't set up another tank

keep recommending them to everyone else instead

I have a tank that looks virtually identical to yours. I just keep mine as a spare in the garage to be set up and used only when I need it for young fry or for using as a hospital/isolation tank. I run the filter from it inside my large tank so that it's always ready to run in the small one when I need it and I don't have to worry about cycling. If I was going to use it as a permenant fixture I would put a beta in it or maybe 4 or 5 neons and some nice plants. I have to say that an LFS near to me has this tank set up with 25 fish in it, including a dwarf gourami - disgraceful.

I'm bias, but you did ask.........

How about a planted tank with a shoal of tiny fish? Like Miss Wiggle suggests, the M. "Galaxy" are very nice, but can be pricey. There's plenty of other small fish. Ember tetras are another option from the top of my head.

Planted nanos are becoming more popular, for good reason.

Plants provide numerous benefits to the fish; shelter, security, bio-chemical filtration etc. They can also look very nice. 7.5 gal. gives you plenty of room to play with. My nano is a third of that volume!

Well, you have space... but Binky might not like the company  Of course if there's a tank one one bedstand... don't you need one on the other ? Just so they match ? Got to keep things balanced, no ? :D

ian's got his betta rincewind on his

we've just re-arranged the bedroom too and there's a perfect space for a little tank..... just want a few cories and some m galaxy

7.5G would be enough for a dwarf puffer and an otto or two. IF you had it heavily planted and heavily filtered you could try 2 dwarf puffers. But, they generally need 5G each. Fun little fish though, very interactive.
Another thought would be an african dwarf frog or some shrimp or snails...
Lots of opportunities out there!

thanks for your ideas! i will take them on board.

cheers!
