My husband got 4 "Assorted" cichlids. I mostly just leave his tanks alone, but I'm curious to know what these are:

Edited to add: They like rocks a lot. I don't know if that helps. They build whole cities underneath the rocks with tunnels and everything. I had to take the rocks out just to get a photo >.<

the one on the left is an auratus. the others may be crossbreeds, cant tell the yellow one. what are the tankmates? cheers

These 4 are it for that tank. They're in a 30 gallon together. I'll look up Auratus and start there :)

From my experience the Auratus are nasty little things, I've got them in a 110G! Just something to keep an eye out for

I just read that online. Eeep! I'll make a seperate tank for that one. I'm really glad I posted now.

far left is auratus as said above the second one looks kinda like a yellow lab may be a lemon cichlid im not sure though and the third is a albino peacock and who knows about the fourth one ! =D good luck with your tank !

left is female auratis, next is yellow lab ..male or female too young to tell, 3rd, maybe albino red finned zebra(also can't tell gender or even guess at that pic),  far right likely male auratis.
As far as aurartis being aggressive..well all African cichlids are mostly aggressive. Don't worry about that and don't separate based on that unless you see it yourself. I proise there are hundreds more types of African cichlids much more aggressive then the Auratis. Labs are just unusually peaceful (ish) which might make that conclusion on behavior.
