What Are These Neons Doing?

I have two Neons that are fighting quite regularly. They are both quite big for Neons . Infact I'm not even sure if they're fighting or engaged in some bizarre mating ritual ! Could someone please tell me what they're doing, a reason why they are, and if its normal for Neon tetras

You have a boy and a girl neon that are trying to breed. Unfortunately they don't have any plants to breed in. The female has a kink in the blue line whereas the male has a straight blue line. Put some java moss or some other fine leaf plant in the tank for them. They will do their little dance in the plants and the female will expel her eggs in there. You could also get some more neons. I only noticed the two of them and they do prefer to be in groups of at least 6, preferably more.

Thanks for that info, , Theirs only three at the moment but will get some more soon

I think you'll find those tetras are actually fighting. Its probably two males fighting. They will probably stop in time, but adding some more tends to dilute this aggressive behaviour as no one male can become dominant over all the rest.
