What are these greenish flecks on my Platy fish?

I am relatively new to the fishkeeping hobby and purchased 3 female variatus platy fish from a local fish store. Their old tank was overcrowded with danio and way more male platy than females. A few days ago I noticed two small white spots on one of the fish's tailfin, but it cleared up on it's own. More recently, however, I noticed that there were lots of greenish white spots around where it had been. What is this and how can I treat it? Helpful advice is much welcomed.

Are they raised? They could just be colouration, but a picture would help in identifying them, just in case c:

They aren't raised, but they are mainly around the fins. Photo coming soon, I need to make the file a little smaller first.

Most likely ich. (Ich is a parasite tropical fish catch, its very common. Ich is where white spots appear on fish like this:

The real name to this disease is called Ichthyophthirius multifiliis.)
I would like to note, don't go getting treatment because without a photo I'm not fully sure. Also you don't want to be dumping medication in that isn't necessary. Please get a photo. If it is ich your whole system has it and it will be worsening by the second so please get a photo.

Never, I would say!

Nothing in the OPs posts sound like ich, but without pictures, it's impossible for anyone to give a diagnosis.

The OP describes the 'flecks' as greenish white and not raised.

Ich spots are bright white (that picture upthread makes them look a bit greenish, but I've never seen ich look like that IRL) and raised.

There is nothing in the OPs posts that would lead me to a diagnosis of ich, but until we see pictures, it's all speculation.

I treated it as ich and it disappeared, so I guess it's alright for now.
