What Are Some Good Combinations

so do you agree that it will live under my lights?
will they attack eachother if they live that close?
if i get frogspawn cani i encourage my clown to host it?

Kenya Trees are exceptionally hardy so I wouldnt worry too much about your lighting, but if its truly plain old flourescent tubes I'd at least put some urgency on getting a proper aquarium spectrum bulb.

Frogspawns will kill kenya trees if they touch them. And I dont know of a way to encourage a clown to host. They either want to or they dont bother

so there is no possible way i can keep an anemone. :-( they are sooo amazing and i would love to have one. is there a possibility i could keep one alive or none at all? of course i would get the right lighting and iodine and stuff to care for it.

If you got the lighting BEFORE you got the anemone. They need room though, and they will walk around and sting other corals if they arnt happy, and this sometimes is un-controlable. Id skip the idea personally. Too many things can go wrong to harm other inhabitants. The two Kenya Tress shouldnt attack each other IME. Nem's really need mature tanks though.

what about the little rock anenome's like i have?

different story for sure. Most people dont think of those when they think nems though. So long as they're not mojano anemones (which reproduce really fast) you're fine :).

thought so, i know very little about them except for that they're thriving so we're obviously doing alright!!!

one rock that came to us with 3/4 on now has 9! they keep dividing and multiplying, contemplating taking some to the lfs and swapping them cos we've shed loads! :)

Sounds about right :). Just be careful with a fast-growing nem population. They can get out of control and use up space you'd otherwise rather have for corals.

aye that's why we're thinking of swapping some, for now it's OK as we don't have many corals in the tank but when we get more i'm sure we'll want the room for more interesting stuff.

out of interest, you know how coral's reduce nitrates, will the nem's as well??

MOST will. Some anemones (most notably tube anemones) are non-photosynthetic, but just as with corals, most of those available in the hobby have zooxanthellae in them.

cool, they're staying for the time being then, will only get rid down the line when we have something to replace them with :D

cheers, ps got some pics of our tank now, check the threads in my sig :)

might be silly question but seeing as though corals reduce nitrate, would it be 'easier' to keep a full nano reef rather than FOWLR? seeing as though it's a nano where it really matters
