I might be getting a D-D CO2 system, but its the RUW002 (for calcium reactors) as apose to the one on AE's site which is the RUW001.

Now, the only difference I can see according to the D-D website is that the RUW001 comes with a bubble counter and ceramic diffuser, whereas the RUW002 comes with dual pressure gauges.

Would the RUW002 be ok?

I'm curious on this aswell, the RUW001 set looks very good value for money, £100 with everything including a solenoid. Anyone got experience of these?

Looks like the one I run on my planted tank. I got it because it was good value for money, couldn't afford the other setups.

I find it works well, although I use a DIY reactor as I couldn't get on very well with the little ceramic thing they supply.

One bit of advice though. Make sure you check round all the seals like they suggest with washing up liquid or you will empty your bottles pretty quick, I didn't do that properly and emptied a bottle within a couple of days  . I would of thought that is probably true for most sets though...could be wrong?

I was asking because I was watching an RUW0002 (new) on ebay. It finished at £23 and I was outbid last second :(

Both seem good and disposable Co2 is easy to get hold of, works out cheaper than refillable 500g cylinders in some cases too. The most important thing is the pin/needle value which allows you to control the bubble rate. A gauge to give an idea of the pressure is useful, and two is better but I wouldn't think its essential.

I do note the rowaphos to 'remove nuisance algae'

So all-in-all no bad comments so far :)

Just checked my ebay history, it went for £24 inc delivery :| without postage it went for about £13! Someone got a bargain :)
