for my oscar tank.... occupants 1 oscar, 1 chocolate albino common plec, 1 common syno

juwel trigon 350.... 350l/92 us gallon corner tank

would an L25 be happy in there?

The temptation with large tough Loricariids is to keep them with large, tough other fish such as Oscars or other brutish characters. This actually works quite well with most omnivorous or mainly vegetarian plecos. Pseudacanthicus however are big messy carnivores, but, like all large plecos, produce vast amounts of waste and as such would require monumental filtration to house alongside non-catfish ''equals''. It is better to think of these catfish as the centerpiece fish and stock their aquarium with medium sized (preferably omnivorous) fish. All sizes of barbs work surprisingly well.

from what they say, I'd suggest against it.

fair enough

ah well it was a nice idea! lol

It would be an idea to get another synodontis if you can. They appreciate being in small groups.

*also your oscar will need a bigger tank soon*

i have contemplated more syno's, it's definately a possibility. nothing's going into the tank for a little while yet untili see how oscar's behaviour changes as he matures and now that polly's gone.

and i don't think he does need a bigger tank tbh. It's 92 us gallons, 75 is the recommended minimum, seen people even suggest 55 although personally i wouldn't go that small.

it's highly debatable weather the shape of the tank gives more or less swimming room. It's 4 foot from corner to corner, 3 foot front to back and 2 foot deep. He has plenty of room in there and he's not far off full grown (he's at least 10"... maybe a bit more). Other people have expressed concerns about the shape of the tank before, but anyone who's seen it in the flesh with him in agree's that there's loads of room. If anyone else wants to dispute it your welcome to come over and see for yourself!! :)
